Joanne Pacey

Jo studied on the MMedSci Clinical Communication Studies course at the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2000 as a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT).

Jo worked briefly with children in a Community Clinic for two years following graduation and also as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in a Community Learning Disability team in North Derbyshire for 18 years. Her work with this team included the role of lead SLT for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, assessing, implementing and training on paper based and powerbased AAC for Adults with Learning Disabilities including individuals with complex physical disabilities. Jo joined the EATS team in December 2018 and carries out specialist assessments and reviews for both children and adults as well as providing training and support for local teams. She is also the lead for Therapy Outcome Measures for the service.
